RISC - Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC), is a microprocessor CPU design philosophy that favors a smaller and simpler set of instructions that all take about the same amount of time to execute. The most common RISC microprocessors are ARM, DEC Alpha, PA-RISC, SPARC, MIPS, and IBM PowerPC.
Risc PC - The Risc PC (codenamed Medusa) was Acorn Computers Ltd's next generation RISC OS/Acorn RISC Machine computer, launched in 1994, which superseded the Acorn Archimedes.
Berkeley RISC - Berkeley RISC was one of two seminal research projects into RISC-based microprocessor design taking place under ARPA's VLSI project. RISC was led by David Patterson at Berkeley University between 1980 and 1984, while the other was taking place only a short drive away at Stanford University under their MIPS effort ...
Classic RISC pipeline - The original MIPS, SPARC and Motorola 88000 CPUs were classic scalar RISC pipelines. Later, Hennessy and Patterson invented yet another classic RISC, the DLX, for use in their seminal textbook Computer Architecture: A Quantitative Approach.
Beyond RISC: The Post-RISC Architecture - Today's RISC processors are so far from RISC roots that they are no longer truly RISC. [Michigan State University, Department of Computer Science]
Foundation RISC User - The magazine supporting the RISC OS foundation. Supplied quarterly on CD-ROM, Foundation RISC User is edited by the former editor of RISC User and has a focus on quality rather than quantity of articles.
RISC Architecture - Sophomore college project. Basic clear explanations of: What is RISC, MIPS processors, Pipelining, RISC vs. CISC, some recent developments, readings.
