Geniculate ganglion - ... is an L-shaped collection of fibers and sensory neurons of the facial nerve located in the facial canal of the head. It receives fibers from both the motor, sensory, and parasympathetic components of the facial nerve and sends fibers that will innervate the lacrimal glands, submandibular glands, sublingual glands, tongue, palate, pharynx, external auditory meatus, stapedius, posterior belly of the digastric muscle, stylohyoid muscle, and muscles of facial expression.

Recurrent laryngeal nerve - The recurrent laryngeal nerve is a branch of the vagus nerve (the tenth cranial nerve) that supplies motor function and sensation to the larynx (voice box). It is referred to as "recurrent" because the branches of the nerve innervate the laryngeal muscles in the neck through a rather circuituous route: they descend down into the thorax before rising up again via the tracheo-esophageal groove to reach the neck.

Gastrin releasing peptide - Gastrin releasing peptide (GRP) is released by the post-ganglionic fibres of the vagus nerve which innervate the G cells of the stomach and stimulate them to release gastrin.

Motor end plate - A motor end plate is the distal (farthest from the nerve body) end of the nerve where the nerve impulse causes emission of acetylcholine molecules into the synaptic cleft to innervate muscle fibers triggering muscle contraction. A motor (efferent) nerve axon loses its myelin sheath and branches into multiple endings, which occupy depressions in the sarcolemma.
