Imperative programming - In computer science, imperative programming, as opposed to declarative programming, is a programming paradigm that describes computation in terms of a program state and statements that change the program state. In much the same way as the imperative mood in natural languages expresses commands to take action, imperative programs are a sequence of commands for the computer to perform.
Immediate imperative mood - A form of the imperative mood, found in some languages, the Immediate imperative mood indicates commands that should be implemented immediately. In these languages, the ordinary imperative mood does not have the same sense of immediacy, e.
Genetic imperative - Genetic imperative refers to the instinct of an organism to pass on its genes or reproduce. The phrase can be used to describe the behavior of specific organisms or a species as a whole.
